Local SEO in Wentzville, run by the people who build the site.

When someone in Wentzville looks for the work you do, three businesses get the map and most of the calls. This is the work that puts you in that block and gives the click somewhere worth landing.

Why local is different

Local search is mostly a map, not a page.

The thing that decides a local result is not the same thing that decides a national one.

Type a trade and a town into Google and the first thing back is usually a map with three businesses under it. That block is drawn from Google Business Profiles, not from websites, and it is decided largely by three things: how relevant the business looks, how close it is to the person searching, and how well known it is. A good website helps the last one and gives the click a place to go. It cannot win the block on its own.

This is why the order of work matters. Fixing the profile first tends to move something quickly. Rewriting the site first, with a thin or half-filled profile behind it, usually does not.

It is also why being here is worth something. Proximity is a ranking factor you either have or you do not, and a business in St. Charles County already has it for searches made in St. Charles County. That is a genuine head start over an agency running the same page template for two hundred towns it has never been to.

Based in Wentzville, Missouri. We also work with service businesses across the country, and the work described here is the local half of it.

How it runs

Profile first, then pages, then reviews.

We look firstA written review of where you show up today across the county, what your profile is missing, and which of the four parts of search is actually holding you back.
Profile, then pagesThe map listing gets fixed first because it is what most local searches return. Then the pages, so the click has somewhere useful to land.
Reviews and the monthly noteRequests go out at the end of the job on their own. Every review gets a reply. Once a month you get a page telling you what changed.

What the work is

What we actually do each month.

Nothing here is a secret, and none of it is a trick. Most local businesses lose to competitors on the boring parts, and the boring parts are what this covers.

  • Your Google Business Profile: categories, service areas, hours and the photos that actually get looked at
  • The pages people land on, written for the job they searched, not for a brochure
  • Reviews asked for automatically at the end of the job, and answered when they arrive
  • The same business name, address and phone everywhere Google reads them
  • Speed and mobile work, because most of these searches happen on a phone in a driveway
  • A monthly note in plain English: what moved, what did not, what we are doing next

Common questions

Questions people ask.

If your question isn’t here, call 636-538-5252 and ask.

Do I need to be in Wentzville for this to work?

Not exactly, but proximity is real. Google weighs how close a business is to the person searching, so a shop in Wentzville has an advantage on searches made in Wentzville that no amount of writing can buy. If you are in St. Charles County, that advantage is yours and it is worth using.

How long before I show up?

Profile work can move within weeks because the map listing updates faster than the rest of search. Pages and reviews are slower and usually read as months, not weeks. Anyone who puts a date on it is guessing.

What is the map pack, and why does it matter so much here?

It is the block of three businesses with a map above the normal results. For local service searches it takes most of the clicks, and it is won by your Google Business Profile rather than by your website. That is why the profile gets fixed before anything else.

Is this a separate price from the plan?

No. Local search work is part of the $500 a month plan, along with the site, social posts and the follow-up system. There is no setup fee and it is month to month.

I am a contractor, not an office. Can I still rank?

Yes, and it is a common case. A business that travels to customers can hide its street address and list the areas it covers instead. It is a normal setup and it does not hold you back, as long as it is done properly.
